One enquiry was for a Directors meeting for 22 guests in the Midlands area in a 4 star venue for the beginning of October.
With the amount of 4 star venues in the Midlands this should be an easy task, but, add in a major event at the NEC and October being a very busy month for conferences, space for this event was few and far between.
In all, we contacted over 60 venues before we found a handful that could accommodate the event.
From that we then had to fit the additional criteria for the event - full leisure facilities and a private dinner were just two of the additional requirements. From our handful of venues we whittled down to just 3 venues that were suitable for the client.
We negotiated the rate on behalf of the client and the booking was confirmed at a suitable venue, within budget and with the private dinner at no extra cost to the client.
If the client had chosen to source the venue herself she would have had to spend over 12 hours researching and calling the venues, so, we were able to save her a day and half of time which enabled her to get on with other projects.
